Methodology

How the Centuries Are Read on This Site

Source Texts

All analysis begins with the original French quatrains. Translations are literal where possible and clearly marked when interpretive.

Reading Rule

Quatrains are compared by number across all ten Centuries, not read sequentially within a single Century.

The quatrain number is the only stable index across the work.

Controls Against Pattern Abuse

Not all quatrain numbers produce consistent results. Only sequences that repeat structurally across Centuries are retained.

Language Controls

Ambiguity is preserved rather than resolved. Where the text is unclear, uncertainty is documented.

What This Method Does Not Claim

Reproducibility

Any reader can choose a quatrain number, read it across the Centuries, and judge thematic consistency independently.

Why This Matters

If Nostradamus embedded structure instead of predictions, the Centuries become a machine for thinking about time.
